Use Cases

This section presents the most common use cases for Rights Management in Reprtoir. Each use case illustrates how different types of publishing agreements can be represented, declared, and kept fully CWR compliant.

Whether you are filing a new work or updating an existing one, the data to be sent is the same. What changes is the type of agreement you are working with and the way rights and collections must be declared.

The following use cases are covered:

  • Publishing — when you are the Original Publisher, declaring controlled and uncontrolled contributors.
  • Co-Publishing — when you share rights with one or more co-publishers, with or without a Designated Publisher.
  • Sub-Publishing — when you represent a work in specific territories on behalf of the Original Publisher.
  • Publishing Administration — when you act as Administrator on behalf of another publisher, either worldwide or in specific territories.

Each page provides context, practical cases, and examples of how to declare rights properly in Reprtoir.

By following these use cases, you ensure that your registrations are consistent, transparent, and fully compliant with CMO/PRO/MRO requirements.
