Beatport
Specific instructions for Beatport Statements
No file cleaning or structural modification is required for Beatport statements.
Template selection is the critical decision point.
Beatport (ISRC + UPC)
Beatport statements do not consistently use a single, reliable transaction identifier. In many cases, Tracks are reported using a combination of ISRC and UPC, which requires stricter matching but produces accurate analytics.
This template prioritizes data integrity over automation.
Follow these recommendations:
- Import the file without structural modification.
- Select the template “Beatport (ISRC + UPC)” during Income creation.
- Expect a higher number of Data Errors requiring manual correction at the matching stage.
This method guarantees precise attribution at Track and Album level and is the recommended approach.
Beatport (ISRC)
This alternative template uses ISRC only to identify Tracks.
Because Beatport may reuse the same ISRC across multiple releases, this approach can lead to ambiguous matches.
Behavior to be aware of:
- The system may assign revenues to the first Track carrying the ISRC.
- Album level analytics may be distorted.
- Financial totals remain correct, but attribution accuracy may be reduced.
This template should only be used when manual correction is not feasible.
