Metadata Examples Library

This page provides a curated set of practical examples illustrating how metadata should be structured across common release scenarios. All examples follow the metadata principles, language casing rules, contributor conventions, and DSP guidelines described in the previous sections. The examples are representative of real-world cases and demonstrate how Titles, Subtitles, contributors, and version descriptors are expected to appear when properly formatted.

Each example includes a correct and incorrect version to highlight the most frequent mistakes observed during delivery workflows.

Multi-Language Titles

Multi-language titles are allowed, but each linguistic segment must follow the casing rules of its own language. DSPs expect every part of the title to respect the editorial conventions that apply to the language in which it is written. A title containing mixed languages must therefore apply each rule set independently, without imposing English-style capitalization on non-English phrases or vice versa.

Correct examples (each segment follows the rules of its language)

  • Caminando juntos en Madrid — Live in Paris (Spanish sentence-style + English Title Case)
  • Dans les rues de Paris — Remixed in Tokyo (French sentence case + English Title Case)
  • Sotto la pioggia d'estate — 夜の歌 (Yoru no Uta) (Italian sentence case + Japanese romanized sentence case)
  • Liebe in Berlin — Caminhos antigos de Lisboa (German sentence case with noun capitalization + Portuguese Title Case)

Incorrect examples (misapplied or mixed capitalization rules)
