What is a CWR Sender?

A CWR Sender represents your Organization in the CWR exchange. It tells the receiving society who is submitting the file and ensures your deliveries are processed under the correct identity.

Before you can export a CWR file, you must configure at least one CWR Sender in your account settings.

FieldDescription
Sender IDThe IPI/CAE number issued to your company by your local PRO/CMO.
Sender NameUsually your company’s legal or trade name.
Sender CodeThe 2–3 character publisher code or 3-digit society code issued by CISAC.

πŸ‘‰ These identifiers are necessary for societies to recognize who is submitting the CWR file. Without them, your export cannot be processed.

If you don’t yet have these codes, contact your PRO/CMO. Reprtoir allows you to use dummy values for test exports, but production exports require valid identifiers.

How to Configure a CWR Sender

To configure a Sender, go to:

Testing Phase

If you are still in testing phase, you may use temporary (dummy) values to generate CWR files. However, for production exports, you must use valid identifiers issued by your society. Contact your local PRO/CMO if you are unsure about your Sender details.

Once at least one Sender is created, you will be able to select it when exporting a CWR file.
