Albums
What is an Album?
An Album (also known as a Release) is a Music Asset that an Organization owns or exploits under license. Please note that in Reprtoir, "Release" is dedicated to Albums in the Release Builder solution.

Good to know
When you save a new Album, Reprtoir will automatically suggest you add a Track to this Album.
Adding Albums in bulk
Reprtoir offers two methods to bulk import Albums. Both solutions are very effective. We advise taking the time to test the best solution for your usage.
Using Spreadsheets
Go to the navigation menu located at the left of the Workspace, click on the "Catalog Management" icon, browse to the "Assets" section, and click on the "Albums" list.
Click the orange "New Album" button and then hit "Import from a Spreadsheet" at the top right of the list.
Please visit the Spreadsheets page to learn more about it.
Using Spotify Importer
Alternatively, go to Spotify Importer to import Releases available on Spotify in a blink of an eye. So you won't waste your time recreating them manually in Reprtoir.
Please visit the Spotify Importer page to learn more about it.
Pros and cons
- The Spreadsheets method allows structuring your data and importing at once not only the fields required by Reprtoir but also the custom Tags. Its downside is that it could be quite time-consuming depending on the metadata to import.
- The Spotify Importer method is a very fast way to import a lot of assets, but it is limited to what metadata is available in streaming services.
