What is a Statement Provider?

A Statement Provider is an entity that generates and delivers royalty statements to your Organization. This can include Distributors, Aggregators, Digital Platforms, Publishers, Collective Management Organizations (CMOs), or any company reporting music usage or sales.

Statement Providers deliver royalty data in structured files such as CSV, XLSX, TXT, or industry specific formats.

These files contain the information required to calculate royalties, including identifiers, usage data, territories, dates, and financial amounts.

In Reprtoir, Statement Providers are a core element of Royalty Accounting, as they define how royalty data is interpreted, matched, and processed.

Supported Statement Providers

Reprtoir supports a wide range of royalty statement formats delivered by Statement Providers.

A single Statement Provider may offer multiple statement templates, each covering a different scope of assets and rights. For this reason, the Template Name selected during import is critical, as it determines:

• which asset types are involved
• which identifiers are expected
• how statement lines are matched
• how royalties are processed

Statement Providers are grouped below by statement scope for clarity. These groupings describe the scope of the statement template, not the provider itself.

The same Statement Provider may appear in multiple categories if it delivers different statement templates covering different asset scopes.

Always refer to the Template Name selected during import to understand exactly which assets and identifiers are involved.

Royalty matching identifiers

Each statement template relies on specific identifiers to match statement lines with the correct items in your catalog.

Identifier requirements depend on the selected template and determine how royalty lines are matched and processed.

If you need to add missing identifier columns to a Spreadsheet template, use the dedicated “Identifiers for” reference pages.

How to read identifier columns

Identifier columns indicate which codes are supported for matching within each statement template.

• “ISRC”, “UPC”, “ISWC”, etc. indicate a supported identifier for matching.
• “ISRC + UPC” means statement lines may contain either identifier; both are supported for matching in this template.
• An empty cell means the identifier is not used for that template scope.

Video specific identifiers

When an ISRC appears in a Video Identifier column, it refers to the ISRC assigned to the Video asset itself, not to the ISRC of an audio Track.

Some statement providers report videos using ISRCs instead of platform specific video identifiers. In these cases, Reprtoir matches statement lines against Video assets carrying an ISRC, independently from audio Tracks.

This distinction is important to avoid confusion when both Tracks and Videos exist in the catalog with similar or identical identifiers.

Work specific identifiers

When an ISRC appears in a Work Identifier column, it refers to an ISRC stored on the Work itself, not to the ISRC of an associated audio Track.

In Reprtoir, a Work may carry an “ISRC Code” identifier or “Alternative ISRCs” identifiers, typically originating from CWR files or added manually by the user.

Some statement providers report publishing revenues using ISRCs instead of ISWCs. In these cases, Reprtoir matches statement lines against Works containing the corresponding ISRC, independently from any Track to which the Work may be linked.

This distinction is critical to avoid incorrect matching between recording level and composition level assets.

Audio and Video Statements (Albums, Tracks, and Videos)

This category includes statement templates reporting revenues related to sound recordings and video assets.

Audio, Video, and Works Statements (Albums, Tracks, Videos, and Works)

This category includes statement templates combining label revenues and publishing usage within the same statement.

Works Only Statements (Works)

This category includes statement templates reporting revenues exclusively at the musical work level.

Product Based Statements (Products)

This category includes statement templates reporting revenues linked to physical or commercial products.
