Purpose of the Calculation Step

The “Calculation” step is where Reprtoir performs the actual royalty computation.

This step converts validated statement data into accounting results.

What happens during this step

During calculation, Reprtoir:

• applies all matching Rules
• applies contractual royalty splits
• generates accounting Operations
• updates balances accordingly

The duration of the calculation depends on:

• statement file size
• number of statement lines
• number of active Rules
• complexity of royalty splits

Large or complex statements may take several minutes to process.

What the user should pay attention to

Once calculation starts:

• no modification is possible
• the process runs automatically
• results will be final unless reprocessing is performed later

You should only launch calculation once you are confident in the previous review.

Relationship with Other Steps

Calculation occurs after “Review Before Calculation” and before “Final Review”.

It is the step that produces the definitive accounting results.
