What is a Company?

In Reprtoir, a "Company" isβ€Œ an entity, such as a Customer, a Supplier, or a Rights-Holder. Companies are used to determine Organizations and produce Royalty Statements.


Companies List

Where can find the Companies List?

To display the Companies list, go to the navigation menu located at the left of the Workspace, click on the "CRM" icon, browse to the "CRM" section, and click on the "Companies" list.

The Companies List displays several columns by default, including:

Main Email AddressThe Main Email Address of the Company
ContactsThe Contacts associated to the Company
Creation DateThe Creation Date of the Company

You can add or remove additional columns using the optional Custom Columns feature.


Adding a Company

To add a Company, go to the navigation menu located at the left of the Workspace, click on the "CRM" icon, browse to the "CRM" section, and click on the "Companies" list.

At the top right of the list, click the orange "New Company" button and select "Manual Entry".

A pop-up window will open to enter the necessary data for the new Company:

Once filled in, to save the new Company, click on the orange "Save" button at the bottom right of the pop-up window. The new Company will be opened in a new panel and displayed in the "Companies" list.

Click the grey "Cancel" button to cancel the action.


Adding Companies in bulk with Spreadsheets

To add Companies in bulk, go to the navigation menu located at the left of the Workspace, click on the "CRM" icon, browse to the "CRM" section, and click on the "Companies" list.

Click on the orange button "New Company" and then hit "Import from a Spreadsheet" at the top right of the list. Please follow the instructions in the dedicated article on imports by Spreadsheets.


Editing a Company

To edit a Company, go to the navigation menu located at the left of the Workspace, click on the "CRM" icon, browse to the "CRM" section, and click on the "Companies" list.

Please find the Company to edit in the list and click on its name. This will open the Company panel.

Click on the "Edit" button at the top right of the list. This will open a pop-up window at the right of the Workspace to edit the Company metadata.

To save, click the orange "Save" button at the bottom right of the pop-up window.

Click the grey "Cancel" button to cancel the action.


Editing Companies in bulk

To edit Companies in bulk, go to the navigation menu located at the left of the Workspace, click on the "CRM" icon, browse to the "CRM" section, and click on the "Companies" list.

Select one or more Companies in the list, right-click (or, when hovering over the Companies, click on the three dots on the right side), and then click on the "Edit" action in the opened contextual menu.

This will open a pop-up window at the right of the Workspace to mass edit the selected Companies' metadata. Please visit the Mass Edit article to learn more about this feature.

To save, click the orange "Save" button at the bottom right of the pop-up window.

Click the grey "Cancel" button to cancel the action.


Deleting a Company

To delete a Company, go to the navigation menu located at the left of the Workspace, click on the "CRM" icon, browse to the "CRM" section, and click on the "Companies" list.

Find the Company to edit in the list and click on its name. This will open the Company panel.

Click on the arrow icon behind the "Edit" button at the top right of the list and click on "Delete".

This will open a pop-up browser alert at the top of the Workspace.

To stop the action, click the "Cancel" button.

Click on the "OK" button to confirm the deletion.


Deleting Companies in bulk

To delete Companies in bulk, go to the navigation menu located at the left of the Workspace, click on the "CRM" icon, browse to the "CRM" section, and click on the "Companies" list.

Select one or more Companies in the list, right-click (or, when hovering over the Companies, click on the three dots on the right side), and then click on the "Delete" action in the opened contextual menu.

This will open a pop-up browser alert at the top of the Workspace.

To stop the action, click the "Cancel" button.

Click on the "OK" button to confirm the deletion.
