Tracks
A Track (also known as a "Sound Recording") is a Music Asset that an Organization owns or exploits under license
To add a Track, go to the navigation menu on the left, open the "Audio Management" section and then click on the "Tracks" list. Then click on the orange button "New Track" located at the top right of the list and choose "Manual Entry" in the drop-down list.
This will open a pop-up window with multiple tabs to enter the metadata needed to add a new Track. Please go to the Tabs section below to learn more.
To save the new Track, click on the orange button "Save" located at the bottom right of the pop-up window. The new Track will then be immediately available in the "Tracks" list. To stop the action, click on the grey "Cancel" button next to it.
Although this is allowed, we not recommend that you create orphaned Tracks (i.e. without including them in an Album) except in the case when you only want using Playlists features in Reprtoir. It is not possible to create Releases or calculate Royalties without Albums.
Tracks can be added in bulk thanks to the dedicated template in Reprtoir Sheets, a collaborative and smart online spreadsheet tool that works exactly like Google Spreadsheets or Office 365 but specifically designed for Reprtoir metadata bulk importation. To find out more, follow the link below.
Alternatively, Releases Importer let import Releases including Tracks already published on streaming services like Spotify in a blink of an eye. So you won't waste your time recreating them manually in Reprtoir. To find out more, follow the link below.
Reprtoir Sheets allows you to structure your data and import at once not only the fields required by Reprtoir but also your own Tag structure. Its downside is that it could be quite time-consuming depending on the metadata to import.
The advantages of Releases Importer are exactly the opposite. It is very fast to import metadata but it is limited to what is available in streaming services.
Both solutions are very effective. We advise taking the time to test the best solution for your own usage. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us using the Chat available at the bottom right of your screen in your Workspace, or by email at:

To edit a Track (or several at a time), go to the navigation menu on the left, open the "Audio Management" section and click on the "Tracks" list. Select one or more Tracks in the list, point them and click right (or click on the three dots icon
located on the right side of the line when you hover it) and then click on the "Edit" action in the opened contextual menu.

This will open a pop-up at the right of the Workspace to mass edit the Tracks metadata. To learn more about the "Mass Actions" feature, follow the link below:
To save the modification(s), click on the orange "Save" button located at the bottom right of the pop-up window. The modification(s) will then be immediately available in the Tracks list. To stop the action, click the gray "Cancel" button next to it.
